Labor Day and more

We went to Eunice for the Labor Day weekend. We enjoyed spending time with family. There were some cute pictures taken, but of course mommy forgot her camera. Maybe Nana or Aunt Jen can share their pictures! Abram slept through his first LSU football game, but what can you say....I think a lot of people did!

Abram loves to play on his tummy and suck on his hand whenever he finds it!



Mommy takes Abram for walks and jogs in his stroller...he LOVES it! He also loves to be outside.




Speaking of being outside, mommy dressed Abram up in overalls. This is how he started out...and this is how he ended up. He somehow managed to tahe his right arm out of the overalls!

We are looking forward to our BR trip this weekend. Mason's birthday and LSU football!!!!

Back to Work

I returned back to school this week :-(, but I am so blessed to have Mrs. Harriet Dupuy take care of Abram during the day. I think that Abram had a tough first day, but he seems to have had a better second day. Mommy stayed busy at school, so that helped her get through her days. Abram, Mommy, and Daddy have been having fun together in the evenings. Here are some recent pictures...note the rolls and the double chin. He may have started out tiny, but watch out- he is catching up quickly!!!!

Abram is beginning to LOVE watching the top of his swing (it circles around)!!! And he started to coo over the weekend. Nana was rocking Abram and cooing at him and he returned the favor. Tonight he was in his crib looking at the rotating top and opened his mouth and said "aahhh." Too cute!

Baptism

Abram was baptized this past Sunday, and it was a joyful event for all...except maybe Abram! He screamed the whole time! He had missed his morning nap and was just in a tizzy. However, despite the screaming he was baptized into the Catholic Church as priest, prophet, and king! Boy was mommy excited. Reagan and Nick are Abram godparents...he is a luckly little boy! Thank you everyone who was able to attend this wonderful sacrament!

8 lbs 3 oz!!!

We went to the doctor today and Abram has gained almost 2 lbs and grew almost 1 inch in 2 weeks!!! He now weighs 8 lbs 3 oz and is 20 3/4 in long! The doctor has started Abram on a new medicine...we will see if it works! Mommy and Daddy are still trying to figure out a way to get our little man to feel better in between feedings and sleep at night! Hopefully some of these tricks work!

On a second note, Abram must have very sensitive skin because he is getting several diaper rashes from various wipes, diapers, etc. His face is also starting to break out in seborrhea and heat rashes. Good thing mommy is going to be a dermatologist!!! Wrinkles and sensitive skin....lots of samples will be coming home!

Wedding

Last weekend Abram took his first long trip. We spent Friday night in Eunice, and Abram got to meet family and friends. It was great to catch up with Ian, Sarah, Chad, Mandy, Dominic, and the 2 bebes in 'da ovens!



Then we headed to Lake Charles for Brandon and Lisa's wedding! It was a lot of fun, and Abram got to meet a lot more family!

Updates

Abram is still having good and bad days. We did not go to the doctor this week since she was on vacation. We go back next Friday, so we will see what happens then.

Abram is so cute and is developing such a personality...can't wait to see how he changes over the next months and years. He is also learning how to scoot! Mommy finds him at the bottom of his cradle under the covers at night more times than not. She will have to remember to grab a picture next time!


Abram, Mommy, and Daddy had pictures taken yesterday. Abram was sort of fussy during the session, but some cute pictures were captured. We will have some to distribute in a few weeks.

WooHooo!!!!

Abram has officially broken the 6lb mark! He weighed 6lbs 6oz yesterday at the doctor and is 20 in long!. This morning he officially outgrew his first outfit (albeit a premie outfit and it's too short not too tight)! Hooray for Abram, Hooray for Abram!!!!


Abram is like his mommy, Aunt Heidi, and Gamma....loves to be snuggled up in a blanket up to his ears!!!!



Abram likes laying in his big crib and looking at all of his stuffed animals. He is so observant...gonna be a scientist for sure!!!!
