DeRidder!

As always, DeRidder provided the backdrop to many family memories this December. We learned that 1. Ava and Mason are GREAT entertainers for Abram. 2. That they and Nana alone can make Abram belly laugh. 3. a belly laughing baby ALWAYS induces laughter in his sleep-deprived parents, grandparents, and aunt. And 4. babies are so funny when they are figuring each other out! (aka Abby and Abram) We also had another example of how portable Abram is (He slept in his pack-n-play next to the backdoor in the den that was chock-full of sleeping adults..albeit not sleeping well! All in all it was a good reminder that family is always a good reason to sacrifice

Meeting Aubrey Jane

Our friends Chris and Erin had a baby back in April but we haven't seen them since Abram was born. Chris was deployed to Iraq (pray for his safe return soon!) when Aubrey was 3 weeks old, and Erin moved to Colorado to stay with her family in the interim. However, Erin and Aubrey returned to Shreveport recently and came over for a visit. It was so nice to see them again. I think that Abram and Aubrey enjoyed playing together!

Milestones

Boy oh Boy! Abram is growing up quickly. To help with his reflux, we have begun to give him some cereal. He only takes a few bites before he starts to spit it out. He is also starting to have cereal added to his afternoon bottles at Mrs. Harriet's! Look out...solid foods are coming!

Abram is also starting to sit up. He can stay sitting for about 30 seconds...but it won't be long until he is a solid sitter!

WHO DAT!

Abram absolutely loves to watch football on the TV...just like his daddy. We all really enjoyed watching Sunday's game with friends...even though Abram and Mommy were the only ones who never stopped believing they could pull it out. Way to go Saints!!!

MIRRORS!!!

I LOVE to look at my friend in the mirror...I see him everywhere!!! Mommy was reading me a book that had mirrors in it, and I loved it! I just talked and talked to my friend in the mirror. He's a really cute little guy, and I think that we are going to be best friends! He even smiles back when I smile at him! I'll have to introduce you to him whenever I see you again! I'm sure he will be there...he always is!

Jumpin' Jack

Mommy and Daddy put away my swing, since I'm getting too big. (Oohhh, I weigh exactly 14 pounds, and I am 24 in long!) They decided to start and phase me into my jumping seat. It's too big right now, but I'm still having fun in it. I especially like to chew on the metal rim...it's perfect for my itchy gums!!! My feet barely touch the floor...just enough for me to spin myself 'round and 'round!

Hunter's Wedding

Boy, I've been a traveling baby...that's for sure! After I spent 2 weeks at Aunt Monica's house having fun with John, Natalie, Paul, Uncle Michael, and of course Aunt Monica, I went with mommy to meet daddy in Slidell for the week. At the end of the week, I drove with Daddy and Hunter to Vicksburg, MS for Mr. Hunter and Mrs. MK's wedding. Nana and Papa met us there; I had fun playing with them. I also met Joshua Augustin for the first time. I really enjoyed meeting another BOY my size. Everyone else I've met that is my size is a girl!

Mommy and Daddy also took me dancing! I think that I had fun...even though I wasn't too sure about it at first.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Yentzen. I hope that I didn't scare you too bad with my crying! I want some friends to play with you know!

Halloween

I got to wear my skeleton costume that Rachel and Jeremy got me for Halloween; however, when we went tailgating, mommy wanted me in something warmer. So I wore my tiger outfit that Mrs. B got me (Thank You)!!! I had SO many people telling me how cute I was all day, especially in mass. I think that Jesus was cool with the idea of me in a tiger costume during mass because He's a tiger fan too! At the tailgate I got to see Aunt Heidi, Uncle James, Nanny Rae, Uncle Josh, Mason, Ava, and Abby. Abby and I took turns taking naps, but we eventually were able to hang out for a little while.

Chilling with Nana

Nana came to help Daddy and Abram while Mommy was away. Abram really enjoyed his time with Nana. She also later sent him a mobile, which he LOVES. Here is a movie of him playing under his new mobile. I wish it had sound, because he makes the cutest coos! He really likes to get those legs going!

Lonely in Little Rock

Well Mommy has finished her first week in Little Rock and is already putting a dent into her second week there. She is very grateful to Steve Cadwell for letting her stay in his house. However, she is very lonesome from her two boys. Last week, Nana caught Abram laughing. Mommy was able to see Abram laugh Saturday night. So far, Papa and Daddy are doing well this week. Maybe when Mommy gets home this weekend she can upload some of the pictures Nana and Daddy have taken while Mommy was away. Nana bought Abram a mobile and he loves looking at it. Thanks Nana!

Cheering on the Tigers!!!

Abram was so happy during the LSU game today, and mommy finally caught some of his smiles on camera!!!! Enjoy!!!! Mommy is NOT looking forward to leaving daddy and Abram tomorrow, but knows that God will provide.

Caught Scooting

This is where mommy finds Abram in the middle of the night....having scoot down to the bottom of his cradle and totally under the blankets!!!

SHOTS!!!!

Abram got his 2 month shots yesterday. He was so upset at mommy that she let that mean nurse wake him up from his nap, tease him with the sweet-tasting oral vaccine, and then poke him 3 times in the thigh!!! Afterwards, Abram ran a fever and kept spitting up all of his feeds, but eventually fell asleep and slept well.

LSU

Gamma and Huck came over to watch the LSU vs ULL game. Huck had Abram lying in his lap, and Abram was SO happy!!! He just smiled and smiled!!! I think Huck enjoyed it too!

2 months old!!

Abram turned 2 months old on September 15. Sadly, mommy and then daddy were suffering from a violent case of gastroenteritis!!! Luckily, Abram didn't get sick. Mommy was able to get some pics of Abram without getting too close. The next day, mommy was glad she was feeling better, but Abram wasn't so sure!!!!
