We're Going to the Fair!

This past weekend our church parish, St. Thomas More, had there annual Festival/Fair. We ran the 5K as a family (sort of...Daddy was WAY ahead of Mommy, Abram, and Baby Fruge...but they finished the race eventually!) on Saturday morning and then returned later that afternoon (After naps, of course) to ride some rides. Abram rode the Carosel and the Big Slide twice each! He seemed to have a really good time!

We also baked cupcakes for the Sweet Booth to sell. We made them to look like little pies. Daddy was big help (and actually did the lattice work better than Mommy)!

Trip to Grandma's!

Since we were not able to see my Grandmother on Easter and since I had the past week off for vacation, Abram and mommy went to DeRidder for an overnight visit to Grandma Pitre. I think Grandma really enjoyed playing with Abram...without all the chaos that holidays can bring there. Abram even found some toys...a plastic pitcher and 2 plastic spoons! We really enjoyed our visit, and I hope that Grandma Pitre did as well!

Pocking Eggs

In true Cajun tradition, we pocked eggs with our family and the Fruge's who came in from Eunice. This was the first year for Abram and Gracie to really know what's going on with the eggs...they caught on pretty quickly! Here are some pictures to capture the excitement of the day!

Boiling up some love!

We had a crawfish boil on Holy Saturday with the Fruge Family. The crawfish were excellent and the company just as good!
After we cleaned up, Gracie and Abram started playing in the "drying" pots. Abram climbed right in!

It wasn't long until Gracie decided to join him...

Such loving cousins!!!

Cooking up some great memories!
