Christmas 2010
We had a wonderful Christmas with family this year. We spent a few days in Eunice, a few days in Shreveport, and had Christmas with Heidi, James, Reagan, Josh, and the kids in Baton Rouge. Abram was really blessed with generosity from every side! We pray that your Christmas was just a blessed! Here are some pictures from our travels! I hope that you enjoy them!
Christmas Cookies!
We made homemade sugar cookies and decorated them for Abram's Christmas party at school this year. They turned out great! Abram really enjoyed eating them!
Poor Sick Little One!
Abram got really sick just before New Year's Eve. Unfortunatly, Mommy was in the middle of being on call and Daddy was working. Thankfully, Nana came in to save the day. Abram's fever got up to 104.7! Mommy was worried! After a few days of really high fever, not eating anything, refusing to drink fluids, vomiting, and diarrhea (I'm sure you really wanted to know all of that) Abram wanted to get down to walk when I took him outside to get the mail. Unfortunately, his little legs were so weak and he IMMEDIATELY face planted onto the driveway! I'm not sure how he was able to scrap his ENTIRE nose, but he did. Of course, Mommy had to take a picture for memories. It reminds mommy of the pictures Gamma took of Aunt Heidi when she jumped off the truck and did her own version of a face-plant. Thankfully, he recovered quickly is an energetic little boy again!
Exercises
Abram loves to help mommy and daddy do their exercises. Anytime we are on the floor trying to do exercises, he comes over and climbs on. I think he thinks its a game...but I'm out of breath!

Update!
Sorry it has been so long since I have updated the blog. Life is moving ninety-miles an hour (as I'm sure that it does with you as well). So here is a whirlwind of the past 6 weeks of our lives.
Mary, Mother of God...pray for us!
We have a table in our living room with several statues of close prayer partners for our family. Namely, St. Bernadette, Our Lady of Guadaloupe, Sacred Heart of Jesus, St. Joseph, and St. Gianna Molla. Abram likes to go and take the statues off the table. He is so sweet and loving to all, even the statues. He will pick them up and give them a kiss....and sometimes chunk them across the room afterwards! St. Joseph has already had to have surgery by Daddy to attach his head back on. All the more reason to ask them to pray for our little family!

Abram is still hesitant with walking on his own, but he has NO fear when it comes to climbing!!! He is truly his Daddy's son! Here he is climbing on a stack of CDs in order to reach the computer keyboard!
A Cat in the Hat Christmas!
The weekend before Thanksgiving we went with Nana and Papa to the LPB fundraiser "A Cat in the Hat Christmas" in Zachary.
We met Nanny Rae, Mason, Ava, and Abby there.
We got to try and take pictures with Santa.
We also play with various animals at the minature petting zoo and rode on a hayride around the Christmas Tree Farm.
Thanksgiving!
After I got off of work on Thanksgiving morning, we drove to Eunice to have lunch with the Fruge family. It was nice to see MaMa and PaPa Fruge, Aunt Myra, Adrienne, Megan, Lyle, and Uncle Randy.
Decorating For Christmas...It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
We were able to put up a few of our christmas decorations this year. Luckily, most of my ornaments were already shatterproof. I put any and all breakable ornaments higher on the tree...out of the reach of a an unnamed precious little boy's reach! Ahem.
Abram loves to play with the "balls" on the tree. He has a few on the lower branches that only sit in the branches and aren't attached by hooks. He crawls over, takes them off, and throws them across the room. And then proceeds to laugh like crazy!
Abram also loves to touch the lights! He likes the way they light up his finger. Oh, and he LOVED getting tangled in the lights before we decorated the mantle.

Abram also LOVES the animated Santa Claus he got from Huck and Gamma last year that sings "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!" Casey and I are a little tired of the song, but the smile it brings on Abram's face is so precious and perfect!
That's just a snapshot of the past several weeks. I pray that this season brings you peace, hope, joy, and a deeper love for Christ, Our Redeemer! Merry Christmas!!!

Happy Halloween!
We celebrated Halloween with the Huckabee's in Zachary this year. Abram wore a Snoopie outfit. I was worried that he wouldn't want to keep the headpiece on...but he was a TROOPER!!!!
He kept in on the WHOLE TIME!!!!
I think he realized that he got candy when he wore it.
And the girls have already started...everytime we passed a group of kids, the girls would say "Look how cute Snoopie is!!"
Abram and Abby mostly stayed in the wagon, while Mason and Ava took off on foot.
Overall, it was a fun night!
Abram really enjoyed the blue sucker he got from someone (I'm sure you can guess who gave it to him!) At least I got the blue stains out easily for later use!
Abram and Abby had a great time playing with each other. They play so well together! Abram is lucky to have 2 cousins his age that he can grow up playing with. Here they were peaking out the window, getting ready to go trick or treating!
All in all--what a great way to spend a Sunday evening!
