Pocking Eggs
In true Cajun tradition, we pocked eggs with our family and the Fruge's who came in from Eunice. This was the first year for Abram and Gracie to really know what's going on with the eggs...they caught on pretty quickly! Here are some pictures to capture the excitement of the day!
Boiling up some love!
We had a crawfish boil on Holy Saturday with the Fruge Family. The crawfish were excellent and the company just as good!
After we cleaned up, Gracie and Abram started playing in the "drying" pots. Abram climbed right in!

It wasn't long until Gracie decided to join him...

Such loving cousins!!!

Cooking up some great memories!

What's New??
Well, it has been a while since I've updated the blog. Life is especially busy these days! I've been on wards (inpatient hospital medicine) for the past two months, so I've been averaging about 2 days off a month (that's right...I'm at the hospital at some point in time every day of the month except two!) In addition, I've been fighting (and thankfully winning now...) the battle with morning sickness. That's right...we are expecting another baby due in October!!!! On top of that, I've had two (count that two) bouts of gastroenteritis in March! My doctor was worried that I lost (not gained) 5 pounds in March, but I've informed him that I'm doing my best, able to eat (and keep down) food again, and will no doubt gain it all back (plus more) in due time. I've felt wonderful the past few weeks, and my call nights haven't been that bad (I've been able to lay down for at least 45 min-1 hour every night...and sometimes more!)
I also found out that I've matched in to Dermatology at LSU...so we will be in Baton Rouge for at least another 4 years (and no more call nights after I finish medicine...yahoo!) I am so very excited about this new career path!
Abram is blossoming into a beautiful, wonderful, lively child! He is saying new words everyday! He even tee-teed in potty for the first time...and finally petted the neighbor's dog for the first time! Milestones are blowing by! I keep reminding myself that life moves so fast, and I try my hardest to soak up every minute of every day that I can.
Well, that's a nutshell of what's going on at our house. I hope that you enjoy that pictures below!

Easter Egg Hunting
I don't like decorating for Easter until Easter is actually here. I think that it is important to instill in our children the seasons of the church...as they give us guidance and structure in life, too! However, I did decide to help prepare Abram for the Easter Egg Hunt at his school next week. He has never hunted eggs before, and I didn't expect him to know what to do when the "release" them to find all the eggs. On top of that, he has a few boys in his class that are (so we say) bullies. I definetly don't want them to get all the eggs, so I took it upon myself to teach Abram how to be an awesome egg-finder BEFORE the hunt! I bought some eggs at the store and Casey and I hid them in the front yard. Abram had a BLAST finding the eggs--as you can see from the pictures above. Watch out boys...Abram's gonna get the eggs!
Playgrounds!
We try and go to the playground as much as we can as a family. Abram LOVES to slide!!! The day after Gracie's party we found ourselves at the circle park in Eunice with Nana and Papa. It was so much fun! Abram is such a happy child, and his smile and laugh are contagious! We are SO, SO, SO very blessed. Praise God from whom all blessings flow...indeed!
GEAUX TIGERS!!!
We have been very blessed lately in our ability to find/get tickets to the LSU games. Abram really enjoys the games...he especially LOVES to clap! We usually have to make a trip to the playgroup somewhere around the 6th inning, but all in all he's a sport! When we can't make it to the game, he LOVES to sit in his new chair and watch the sports on TV...just like his mommy and daddy!
Gracie's Birthday Party
Grace Katherine turned two in February! There was a big party at Nana and Papa's house...with a fun jump! Abram LOVED the fun jump (Mommy liked it too as long as the big kids weren't in there!) We also enjoyed cake and spending time with family and friends! Here are some pictures from the party (although they are mostly of Abram in the fun jump!)
